AAHB Conference Kayaking Event

On Monday March 17,  kayaking group will meet at Mission Bay Sports Center. You will need to give yourself approximately 10 minutes by car or bike ride or 40 minutes if walking from the conference hotel. The $15 cost must be pre-paid by registering for this event and paying your invoice. Registration will run from March 9- March 14. We need to confirm the total in advance. We can accommodate a maximum of 50 people so register early.

Our event host is The Pheonix, a national non-profit substance use recovery organization. Please be prepared to sign a pledge regarding your use of substances. You may also be prepared to sign a liability waiver with MBSC.

Please wear quick-dry bottoms, and make sure that anything that is water sensitive is in a waterproof pouch. You may want to wear a few upper layers. We have planned this event in the afternoon, which should be best for warm temperatures, but, as the sun warms the air, the wind increases, and the currents will become stronger. If you have less upper body endurance, you may want to select a partner and a double-kayak upon arrival – both single and double kayaks will be available.
