PhD Student at Texas A&M University
Shuo Feng is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Health Behavior at Texas A&M University. Shuo is passionate about the intersection of biology and sociology in shaping health-related behaviors. His research philosophy follows a three-step translational process aimed at turning scientific evidence into practical health solutions: 1. Synthesize evidence through systematic reviews and meta-analyses to evaluate the current knowledge (health-centric); 2. Identify risk patterns using surveys and epidemiological analyses to examine the prevalence and multi-level determinants of specific health issues (behavior-centric); and 3. Design and evaluate interventions that integrate biological and behavioral approaches to promote sustainable health behavior change (combined focus). Shuo’s research focuses on the impact of nutrition, physical activity, and sleep on cardiometabolic and mental health. His long-term goal is to develop evidence-based, translational interventions that improve population health by addressing both mechanistic pathways and behavioral adherence.
